Adeline

The vicious, untamed hunter. Not quite human. Not quite demon. Walking a line as fine as that of her blade.

History/Personality

Adeline, last name currently unknown, has no memory of her childhood. At least, no happy memories. She can't recall spending time with her parents or playing with her siblings in the backyard. All she remembers is the night that everything changed.

The rain, falling so hard and heavy it sounded like bullets. Like an assault rather than an act of nature. Lightening streaking across the sky. Thunder clapping like the roar of an angry monster. The screams of her family as they were slaughtered in front of her young, innocent eyes. The blood of her kin streaked the walls, the furniture, and even her face as though it was some kind of grotesque painting that should've never been created in the first place. Only Adeline remained alive because a secret order, rather a cult, believed that she held great potential.

Those same men that had murdered her family, took Adeline away, kicking and screaming. It didn't take long for them to grow weary of her cries and sedate her. The next seven years were nothing short of a nightmare for Adeline. The cult exposed her to lesser demons, tortured her, and subjected her to perverse experiments all in the hopes of endowing a human with the strength and speed of a demon.

There were others in the experiment, of course. But Adeline was never allowed to interact with them. She never saw their faces or knew their names. Thanks to whispers amongst the staff, she learned that not all of them survived. In fact, most seemed to die horrific deaths. To be honest, Adeline wasn't sure which fate was worse: theirs or hers.

In Adeline, the cult's goals were met. They'd managed to gift a human with a demon's superior skills. Her pain and suffering meant nothing to them. All they cared about was the end result. Unfortunately for them, they'd been too short-sighted to see that they were creating a monster who loathed them with every fiber of her being and couldn't wait to tear them limb from limb.

Their screams, along with the screams of her family, still linger in Adeline's mind to this day. She'll never forget what they did to her family, and she'll never forget what she did to them. She's not sure she'll ever be able to forgive herself or stop viewing herself as a monster either.

Now, she spends her time hunting and killing demons as well as searching for any remaining members of the cult who killed her family. It's her attempt to try and prevent anyone else from going through what she has. It's also a great way for her to work out her anger, pain, and aggression. Perhaps, deep down, she's even hoping that somewhere down the road she'll be able to restore some of her lost humanity and stop thinking of herself as such a freak.

Adeline is a survivor. She's a tough, distant, hardened, crass, sarcastic woman. She's been traumatized and carries around many scars that cut deeper than any blade. She has a rather dark sense of humor and takes joy, perhaps too much, in fighting and killing demons.

She can be flirty and even promiscuous. She's 100% straight and there's a very specific type of man she's attracted to, but that's not information she'll easily reveal. You'll have to earn it. ;)

When it comes to sex and romance, Adeline is mostly submissive. It not only arouses her, but it makes her feel safe to give up control and completely trust the man she's with to be in charge and dominate her. That's also why she's highly selective about who she'll sleep with. If she chooses you though, you're in for the time of your life.

Deep down, despite all she's been through, there's still a sweet, innocent little girl inside her. She's very slow to trust and open up, but anyone who is able to earn her trust will be shown a special part of her that she rarely reveals: her kindness, her sweet smile, her vulnerability. Once you have her loyalty and her love, you have it for life. There's nothing she won't do for you, even at the expense of her own wellbeing.

Adeline's secret fear is that she's absolutely terrified of storms, especially thunderstorms because it reminds her of the night that she lost her family. If you're ever around her during a storm, be prepared for her to panic and seek comfort, even if she doesn't know you that well yet.

1. This account will have mature themes including torture, abuse, graphic violence, and death.

Although this is not strictly a lewd account and full smut will only occur in DMs, those themes will be present as well. However, any smut will ONLY occur between two consenting parties where both mun and muse are over 18. No exceptions.

Considering the mature nature of this character and account, I will NOT interact with minors. This applies to both muse and mun.

2. This is a crack/banter/serious roleplay account. One liners are acceptable for crack and banter, but NOT for serious roleplay, be it lewd, action, drama etc. It's not my intention to be a bitch about this, but one line roleplays simply leave me uninspired and give me nothing to work with. Please respect my preferences as I will always respect yours.

3. I'm a semi-literate/literate/novella writer. I'm detailed and descriptive. However, I'm not a snob and don't expect anyone I'm writing with to be perfect. All I ask is that you try your best and have fun. As long as you give me more than a sentence or two and attempt proper grammar and punctuation, I'll be happy.

4. Like everyone, I have a real life that comes first and can get very busy. I also have health issues that sometimes prevent me from being as active as I want. So, sometimes I'll be able to respond quickly, other times it'll take me a couple days or longer. That said, I'll always respond as quickly as I can and will do my best to inform if I won't be around for a while.

Please respect my time and don't rush or pressure me for replies. That said, I understand it can be difficult to patient when you're looking forward to a response so if I haven't replied in 3+ days, feel free to give me a polite nudge. Just keep in mind that frequent badgering and daily reminders will not work and, if anything, will make me not want to continue writing with you.

I will never rush or pressure you for replies. However, if I haven't heard from you in over a week, I might give you a gentle nudge, check in to make sure you're alright, and see if you're still interested. But I'll never be passive aggressive or a bitch about it.

5. Adeline is a Devil May Cry original character of my own creation. I'm also a multiverse roleplayer which means I can easily adapt her into other verves and fandoms, especially those with similar aspects such as Supernatural, The Originals, The Vampire Diaries, Castelvania, and The Witcher.

6. This is a multi-ship account. Adeline will mainly ship with Dante, Vergil, Nero, and V. But she'll also ship with characters from other verses and OCs. Chemistry preferred.

7. Although my character can be a tough, sarcastic, cold bitch. I'm not that way. It's not my intention to upset or offended anyone. So, if my character or I do something that makes you uncomfortable, please let me know and give me a chance to make it right.

I'm not a mind reader. I have no way of knowing I upset you unless you tell me. I also don't want to be reported and risk my account getting suspended for simply being true to my character. If there is a problem, please be an adult and handle it the correct way. You can either let me know, unfollow me, mute me, or soft block me.

Reporting should be reserved for those accounts who truly deserve it, who are harassing or threatening others or who are pedophiles. Reporting someone for simply playing or shipping characters you don't like or being into something you are not, is extremely petty and doesn't bring the roleplay community closer.

8. This is a hate free, bigotry free, racism free, drama free account. There are enough stress, problems, and hatred in real life. This should be a place to get away from all that. This should be a place for fun, to write and interact with other like-minded individuals and bring our favorite characters or own creations to life.

Don't try to start petty drama with me, it won't work. I didn't indulge in high school drama even when I was in high school. I'm certainly not going to do it now.
